About Dhemiah

As an artist, I have tried to convey to my audience to look deep into my creations and try to feel the world the way I have felt it.  Through my childhood and beyond, I have been captivated and entranced by the world around me, most of which has been enchanting and some not so.

My first experiences with what I call the spirit and magical realms was when I was a child, I would go out exploring with my Father, who seemed somehow mystical to me, the way he handled and loved his magnificent birds of prey.  We would head off to local woods, the common or even canals for hours of adventure and soaring flight. 

During this time, a realisation dawned on me that I was different to other children, I could use my senses to telepathically communicate, to hear, see and feel what was all around me.  This period of my life was the time that my fascination with Faerie began, this magical realm has since developed and expanded but back then, they were waiting in the side lines, quietly and patently waiting for me to explore their world and work with them.

My fascination never faltered and as I grew older, I began to sketch what I could see, most of the time keeping the energies and the ‘other worlds’ to myself. While I sketched, I could feel my pent up emotions start to be soothed and dissipate.  However, my wish to share these worlds was always bubbling away under the surface and it wasn’t long before I started channelling the energies through my art and this journey leads us to the present day.   

If my audience can start to see, feel and touch the unfolding realities and realise that there are many energies and other worlds around us, then my mission will be partially accomplished, if they can journey into my art and creations and feel the magic touch and heal their hearts and souls, then my mission is complete.
